Galvan Reels are made in North America by the Galvan Family in California.  A true small business success story in the Fly Fishing Industry, the Galvans have developed a range of reels which have become accepted among the  leaders in their market niche.  The evidence is no clearer than if one takes a look at their Torque and then look at the more recent designs adopted by some other companies in the Industry. 

Picasso once said when describing Braque words to the effect "Those who follow are invariably left behind".  It is true in Fly Fishing as well.
